The candlelight danced with the subtle breeze,
A winking nights sky, leaves fluttering atop the trees.
The albino moon hangs like a pupiless eye,
Watching as we scurry to find the reasons why.
Not a cloud to impede, so my pen sets the mood,
Enveloped by the atmosphere, smoke rings reach altitude,
We’ll never fully understand the heavens before we’re swallowed,
We may never have to answer to our mistakes or the beliefs we followed.
