The English Premiership Promises To Be Thrilling in 2014-15.
By Justin McCahren
The English Premier League went down to the wire last season. Manchester City narrowly claimed the BPL title over a feisty Liverpool side. Chelsea had their chances. Arsenal crumbled. Everton and Tottenham showed flashes. Manchester United endured the short lived tenure of David Moyes.
It all equaled one of the most compelling battles for the BPL title ever.
This season promises to be just as exciting, on paper at least. In this inaugural edition of “The Atomic Top 5,” we rank what we think the BPL will look like when the 2014-15 season concludes next May 24th.

*Andy Pettitte started off a little shaky in The Bronx this afternoon. After allowing Kansas City to score 3 in the 1st and another run in the second, the crafty veteran settled down. He and the Yankees wouldn’t give up another run. And, oh yeah, some guy named Derek Jeter returned to the lineup. While his old buddy Pettitte started off slow, Jeter didn’t waste any time. Jeter had a hit in his first at bat that led to him scoring the Yankees first run. The Captain started his first game back at designated hitter. Eduardo Nunez played shortstop and had two hits. Youngsters Zoilo Almonte and Austin Romine each added a couple hits of their own. The Yankees would score 4 in the 5th after trailing for the first 4 innings. They would never look back. The Yankees won their 50th game of 2013 with an 8-4 triumph. The news is all about The Captain, however. Jeter would finish 1-4 with an RBI and run scored. However, what was originally thought to be precautionary, Jeter was removed from the game early by Joe Girardi. Breaking news tonight as of about 8:30pm EST, Jeter was pulled because of a quad injury. He is now scheduled for an MRI on that quad.
